Academic success is the focus of boarding life at Churchie. Every boarder is expected to be a scholar and apply himself wholeheartedly to his academic responsibilities.
Our qualified resident staff instil in the boys effective study habits and a sense of self-discipline.
Homework is supervised six nights per week with access to the School Library, study resources and select academic staff at each session.
Years 7, 8 and 9 boarders experience a programme to enhance their study skills. This includes developing time management skills, effective reading, researching and concept mapping.
Academic support, study and revision routines are tailored to individual year groups.
The Housemaster and Assistant Housemaster are the first point of contact for parents’ enquiries and concerns. These key staff are available daily to provide academic counselling, mentoring and to assist with goal-setting and time management.
