Ceri Wynne was born in England. She received a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Queensland. Initially Ceri worked as a research scientist, specialising in the area of the diagnosis of inborn errors of metabolism. In the early 2000s, Ceri entered the formation programme for priesthood in the Anglican Church of Australia. She was ordained as deacon and priest at St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane in 2009.
After a year as assistant chaplain at St Aidan’s Girls’ School, and a year as a curate at St John the Baptist Anglican Church, Bulimba, Ceri was appointed priest-in-charge at St Paul’s Anglican Church, East Brisbane. Ceri is also a sessional lecturer in Theology at Charles Sturt University, specialising in the field of Sacramental Theology. Ceri is married to Ewen and has two adult daughters.
